The Area Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of multiple programs.
Working Hours: Start and end times may vary some, however, this position will work 40 hours a week with marketing/ outreach efforts and be benefit eligible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned.
- Oversee daily program operations and offer assistance where needed, dependent on licensure and ability.
- Oversee the appropriate application and adherence to OBOT Operational Standards, as well as regulatory procedures issued by applicable regulatory authorities and by Tenn Care and specifically the BeSmart program in the state of Tennessee.
- Perform all necessary responsibilities as directed by immediate supervisor and/or the governance authority. This includes direct reporting oversight with counselors, care managers, program supervisors, peer recovery specialist, and front office assistants.
- Screen and interview new associates for hire as needed and submit requests for approval. Participate in employee coaching, provide constructive feedback to employees through the corrective action process and participate in employment terminations under the guidance of the regional manager.
- Orient all new associates to the program or designate appropriate supervisor to provide orientation— this includes completion of new hire policies, review of associate handbook, and orientation to responsibilities, at minimum.
- Conduct employee performance reviews, monitor personnel time, and respond to requests for PTO
- Maintain program documentation in accordance with DEA regulations, including patient prescriptive records, physician DEA registration, physician current caseload and approved patient capacity.
- Lead team of care managers to coordinate and improve overall patient experience through continuity of care. This includes expanding community engagement through local business partnerships and referral sources.
- Coordinate with internal and external persons and agencies to inform, improve, or supplement service provision.
- Coordinate with Operations Support Team to address needs within the center.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Support Team and the Governance Authority.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Preference given to candidates with experience working in an Office Based Opioid Treatment program and with supervisory experience.
- Candidates should also have experience working with individuals with substance abuse or mental health disorders.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, mean, mode and median ability to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee occasionally lifts/carries paperwork, files, office supplies, up to 20 lbs., pushes/pulls exerting up to 5-10 lbs. force, opening doors, file drawers, pushing files in drawers, and kneeling/crouching and/or ability to reach lower file drawers, file stretching to store of retrieve materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Frequent sitting at desk or computer while typing, completing paperwork, or meeting with patients.
