Job description
Assemble semi-finished and finished parts, to produce a finished mass timber product
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Monitor, maintain, and assist servicing equipment as per the manufacturer’s requirements
- Fabricate product per job specs and drawings
- Read, and understand shop drawings, blueprints, product specifications, and process documents
- Assist in quality control inspections to ensure product meets job specs and tolerances
- Handle and transport material with forklift and overhead crane
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment
- Report issues with tools, equipment, or unsafe conditions
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Construction experience
- Ability to read and comprehend schematic engineering drawings and blueprints
- Ability to learn and master new assembly skills along with strong communication skills
- Able to perform manual operations requiring adept dexterity
- Able to competently perform visual inspection of finished parts
- Familiarity with power tools, forklift, and overhead crane
- Able to meet physical demands of the job: standing for extended periods, lifting loads up to 50 pounds, squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt.
- Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions
- Knowledge and adherence to all OSHA and Timberlab safety practices and procedures
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong sense of urgency

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Occasional exposure to weather, vibration, dust and fumes, electric shock, radiation, toxic/caustic chemicals
- Requires frequent stooping/bending/crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, repeated lifting of up to 50lbs
- Climbing, carrying loads, proximity to moving mechanical parts
- Exposure to high levels of noise requiring ear protection
