Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Assistant Director will work closely with the Digital Audience Coordinator (social media) and greater marketing team to plan, manage and oversee all aspects of Bass Pro Shops Hospitality digital marketing. Duties include planning digital campaigns, including all paid social and digital, and delegating responsibilities to the social media team, along with measuring the performance analytics of digital campaigns and budgets.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and creativity while overseeing digital content that supports the strategic marketing and communications goals to help attract, inform and engage stakeholders (guests, partners, team members, and media outlets) via social channels and other forms of digital communication.


Digital Content Management:

  • Plan, create and execute ongoing content strategies to advance Bass Pro Hospitality’s mission online with the goal of spreading core stories and content while fostering an enthusiastic and passionate community to support Big Cedar Lodge, Big Cedar Golf, Top of the Rock, Angler’s Lodge, Big Cypress Lodge, and Finley Farms.
  • Partner with in-house and third-party partners to create/capture photo and video assets for use on social and digital channels.
  • Proof and edit engaging content (original copy, photos, videos, and news).
  • Plan and schedule content appropriately within our social scheduling tools.
  • Manage our brand digital images, voice, and engagement across appropriate channels.
  • Plan and manage outward appearance of social media channels (i.e. descriptions, highlights, cover photos etc.)
  • Review social media tags/mentions and strategize accordingly.
  • Deploy social listening tools to monitor positive/negative comments and topic trends.
  • Generate reports on overall social channel and digital stats and notable trends and provide meaningful feedback.


Social Community Care:

  • Be familiar with Bass Pro Hospitality’s following lists on social media.
  • Develop and oversee audience lists for paid social campaigns.
  • Ensure following lists are up-to-date; suggest changes when necessary.
  • Assist in monitoring when notable persons are on property for content opportunities.


Digital Growth:

  • Foster and strengthen new relationships with key influencers within the community.
  • Propose new strategies to promote engagement and online community growth.
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing on development and execution of paid digital campaigns.
  • Oversee agency partners and management of paid social and social retargeting.
  • Suggest and implement new digital features to develop further enhance brand awareness.
  • Suggest and oversee strategies to improve search engine optimization.
  • Partner with communications team to learn/understand email marketing content, platforms and strategies.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of social media monitoring tools.
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads platform.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social and digital media
  • Develop reports to inform social and digital efforts and evaluate campaign performance.
  • Ability to work with different groups throughout the company.
  • Work quickly and efficiently.
  • Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or advertising preferred.
  • 4 years work experience managing social media business accounts.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics
  • Analytical/Critical Thinking - The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.). The ability to quickly master new software.
  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Originality - The ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about products, services or situations, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
