Overview:

Assistant Patient Care Director, CVICU/Stepdown

Looking for your next career opportunity in healthcare? At VHC Health, our staff exceeds expectations by performing at the top-level of the profession. We are looking for a collaborative Assistant Patient Care Director who will be responsible for direction of the nursing unit (s) in coordination with the patient care director in concert with the goals of that unit according to the philosophy of the Division of Patient Care Services.

The CVSD is an 8-bed unit treating post-cardiothoracic surgery patients that have been downgraded from CVICU, post TAVR patients, other thoracic and vascular surgeries. The CVSD can also take telemetry patients depending on bed availability when the hospital is at critical capacity. Skills utilized in the unit include ACLS, dysrhythmia management and care of patients on sternal precaution and chest tubes. The unit is unique because of their modified universal model. In many cases, patients may have the same nurses taking care of them from day 1-3. The CVSD leaders are very selective in choosing quality candidates that demonstrate the VHC culture. Their mantra is TEAMWORK, which makes this unit an amazing place to work!

Come join a hospital dedicated to you and your career!
