The Department of Computer Information Systems at Vermont Technical College invites applications for multiple Tenure Track Assistant Professor positions to begin in August 2022.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching an average of four courses per semester at both the graduate and undergraduate level. This position may be based at either the College's Williston or Randolph Center campuses, though travel to the other campus may be required.

Responsibilities also include student advising, participation in the activities of the department, and serving on committees at the College. Vermont Technical College’s full-time faculty teaching load is 24 credits per academic year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess a Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field. An earned Doctorate is preferred. Professional experience in the fields of instruction is strongly encouraged.

Experience in Networking or Web Development is a positive.

Salary:

Based on qualifications and experience as defined by VSC-VSCFF Bargaining Unit Agreement.

Required
  • This position will require a significant role teaching in the Masters of Software Engineering program, so professional experience in software development and architecture is especially valuable.
