ASSISTANT SPRINT FOOTBALL COACH

Fontbonne University, a Catholic coeducational institution, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, offering both bachelors and masters degrees, seeks qualified individuals for a full-time Assistant Sprint Football Coach. Fontbonne is a member of NCAA Division III and the Midwest Sprint Football League (MSFL).
The Assistant Sprint Football Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in recruiting, training, scouting of opponents, organizing visits, and coaching the members of the sprint football team. The Assistant Coach is required to uphold the rules and regulations of the Fontbonne University and the Midwest Sprint Football League (MSFL).
- Assist with year-round recruitment of high school and junior college players, including recruitment by phone calls, letters and visits to players and coaches
- Maintain a knowledge of offensive and defensive coaching strategies
- Assist with preseason/postseason workouts and weight room workouts
- Assist with game tape exchange, ensure tapes/video equipment are prepared for home/away games
- Assist with monitoring academic progress of student-athletes
- Assist coordination of off-campus community service program
- Assist with any summer camps/activities
Other duties may include game management, and other administrative duties as assigned by the Vice President for Athletics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and three years of experience coaching football.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree and experience in recruitment.
