The Virginia of the Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired is seeking Assistant Store Manager (ATF), a qualified individual that is responsible for the implementation of the goals and objectives of VIB by promoting efficiency of supply store and gift shop operations. Required planning, inventory management, promotion of BSC store/gift shop, and operational efficiency of the location. Empowers blind and visually impaired individuals in achieving their maximum level of gainful employment and career development. Provide excellent customer service and retail opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
High School certificate or equivalent. Experience in retail operations and customer service.Good computer skills including Windows applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Skill in analyzing, problem solving and exercising good judgment in critical decision making.
Ability to interpret and apply AbilityOne, Federal, and State policies; and to establish/maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and agency personnel. Abilities related to working in a retail environment to include customer service, merchandising, inventory control, Federal Base Supply Store customer requirements, Point of Sale system operation and acceptable sources for replenishment and work to increase sales at stores while reducing operating expenses.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to interpret and apply AbilityOne, Federal, and State policies; and to establish/maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and agency personnel. Abilities related to working in a retail environment to include customer service, merchandising, inventory control, Federal Base Supply Store customer requirements, Point of Sale system operation and acceptable sources for replenishment and work to increase sales at stores while reducing operating expenses.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
