We are looking for an Assistant Manager for our Williamson Street store at 1309 Williamson Street in Madison, WI
Hours will will vary according to business needs, this position's schedule requires 40 hours per week.
Shifts will be contained within the following hours: 7 am - 7:30 pm Monday- Saturday. 8:30-5:30 Sundays.
Weekend availability is required for consideration.
Preferred applicants will have previous supervisory experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to offer excellent guest service to a wide-ranging customer base.
In the manager's absence, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of the thrift operations which includes the ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities.
Starting wage begins at $22.50/hr with a benefits package including health, dental, and life insurance, PTO, long term and short-term disability, paid vacation, and 403(b).
Essential Job Duties:
- Supervise and assign employees daily activities as directed by the Store Manager
- Assist in hiring and training of new staff in company policies, daily tasks and proper cash handling procedures
- Assist in the supervision of stocking and rotating merchandise in order to maintain a clean, orderly and attractive sales floor
- Assist clients using the Voucher Program
- Communicate and represent the interests and needs of the employees and store and staff to the Store Manager
- Help maintain a pleasant, professional and service-oriented environment between sales staff, clients and customers
- Promote a spirit of teamwork and good morale among all
- Other duties and tasks assigned by Store Manager
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
