The Associate Brand Manager, Global Innovation will play an integral role in the Krispy Kreme innovation projects, guiding the development process for new product initiatives across both retail and consumer packaged goods, while delivering high quality (and awesome) Krispy Kreme experiences to our consumers. The individual in this position works closely with manager, partners at all levels throughout the organization, as well as vendor/agency partners, moving product development projects through the process from initial ideation and project briefing all the way to commercialization and market testing ensuring we have strong programs to transition to our broader marketing team for scale-up/launch.
HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Works in partnership with Innovation Brand Manager to deliver against the innovation vision and articulation of key strategies within our priority areas for the consumer packaged goods and retail channels, ultimately converting that vision into a pipeline of compelling concepts and products.
- Supports planning, organizing, and driving all aspects of innovation projects from a brand marketer perspective, ensuring engagement, commitment, and risk management of the project against defined objectives.
- Partners with Consumer Insights and FP&A to formalize NPD briefs for each project, rooted in a strong understanding of our brand, coupled with relevant knowledge of our consumer and the market, ultimately supported with business justification.
- Collaborates with Culinary Innovation, Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure conceptual products/programs can be translated consistently with operational excellence.
- In partnership with Culinary Innovation leads, ensures products are developed within specified cost parameters to achieve our business targets, while also delivering on a quality experience.
- Continuously evaluates and prioritizes projects in the pipeline in partnership with Culinary Innovation partners and provides ongoing communications on status to ensure management alignment.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- 3+ years of relevant experience in innovation or brand marketing
- Passion for food and beverage innovation is required
- Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field required; MBA a plus
- Experience working with CPG and restaurant brands preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills with a proven ability to move projects forward in a constructive and timely manner
- Capable of working with and rallying multiple departments/key stakeholders around common goals
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task, managing numerous projects and effectively adapt to shifting priorities
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions using sound judgment and discretion
- Self-motivated with an innovative, can-do spirit; always ready to lead and to learn
- Proactive, results oriented
- Strong business and analytic acumen
- Strong written and oral communications skills
