Brief Description:
The Associate Director of Product Management Insights – Oncology at Jazz is a strategic thought partner, analytical expert who provides critical contributions to brand team, life-cycle planning, forecasting, and senior management decisions requiring primary market research, secondary data analysis and/or competitive intelligence. The Associate Director will also lead the integration and synthesis of insights across primary research, secondary analytics, and competitive intelligence.
This individual will work in a matrix team with Insights & Analytics, other business operations colleagues, and cross-functional leadership partners in Data Strategy, Marketing, Market Access, Business Development, and Medical to bring forth objective and strategic insights and analysis across life cycle management and future indication assessment initiatives. This position will report to the Snr Director, Analytics & Insights.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Leverage data and insights to support pre-launch commercialization strategy development and activities, including development of patient journeys, benefit ladders, drivers & barriers analysis, and positioning / campaign testing, etc.
- The candidate should be a highly collaborative, team-oriented individual with excellent communication and analytical skills including the ability to present to large audiences and leadership skills to initiate, oversee and drive impactful projects in a timely manner.
- The candidate should be able to demonstrate good judgment and have evidence of strong analytical, problem solving, strategic thinking, planning, and project management skills.
Essential Functions
This individual will:
- Proactively identify key business questions and knowledge gaps in partnership with commercial stakeholders
- Develop analytic plans to prioritize and address key business questions in alignment with commercial strategic objectives
- Lead comprehensive primary market research and competitive intelligence monitoring projects for future indication assessments within Oncology Business Unit and facilitate integrated insights sharing across analytics teams
- Contribute to APLD-based and other secondary analytical initiatives in support of forecasting and other business opportunity and risk assessment
- Contribute to brand executive review meetings and preparations for investor calls in collaboration with Oncology BU lead and marketing and sales leadership
- Contribute to team meetings with analytical support, brand planning analysis, patient segmentation analyses, and other advanced analyses as required for future indication and opportunity assessment
- Manage vendor relationships and budget
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- BA or BS with a concentration in Life Sciences, Business or Mathematics; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 6 years+ progressive experience in strategic analysis, planning, and analytics
- Strong understanding of pre-launch commercialization strategic framework, including primary qualitative and quantitative market research techniques specific to future indication assessments
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate the data and learning into actionable recommendations for business growth

- Experience working with common pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., Symphony, IQVIA, EHR)
- Track record of being a collaborative team player, and adaptive to meeting the needs of a growing business
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior management and key business partners
- Familiarity with the hematology/oncology and/or orphan disease marketplace is a plus

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $148,000-$194,250. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
