We have an excellent opportunity in our Military - System Engineering Survivability Discipline Group. We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in survivability to support various activities in East Hartford, CT.

The successful candidate will be collaborating across several technical engineering disciplines within our Pratt and Whitney system engineering organization. You will support various military programs like the F119, F135, and future fighter engine programs.
The Survivability Technical Expert will work closely with several survivability sub disciplines such as infrared signature, radar cross section, vulnerability, and operational analysis to help streamline tools and processes, support critical programs with analysis or test, help plan technical activities, and mentor the next generation of survivability engineers. The ideal candidate should have significant industry experience in conducting analysis and test in Infrared and or RCS. Individual should have an ability to provide technical leadership on the current survivability challenges facing key military programs. An ability mentor, improve key processes, and develop/improve software tools would be a plus!
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or physics and a minimum of 12 years of engineering experience or Advanced Degree in engineering or physics and a minimum of 10 years engineering experience
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
- Active DoD Security Clearance at Secret Level or Top-Secret Level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills (verbal/writing)
- Experience in creating technical documentation (Reports/Presentations)
- Demonstrated collaboration with customer and team members.
- Experienced in presenting technical information in front of customers (Internal /External).
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office 365 tools.
- Experience conducting RCS analysis or test.
- Experience conducting IR analysis or test.
- Experience in providing inputs for Operational Analysis
- Understanding of key survivability concepts and reduction techniques.
- Ability to program in FORTRAN, C++, and or Python
- Ability to provide technical leadership on survivability disciplines to Survivability Engineering Manager and Director.
- Ability to plan out technical research activities (cost/schedule)
