ASSOCIATE PORTFOLIO MANAGER - WATERFORD OFFICE
Job summary:
Associate portfolio manager works for different organizations that deal with finances and investments. The associate portfolio manager informs the clients as to what type of investments should they make and what investment plans they should refrain themselves from. Should have good knowledge of the economy and financial plans in order to help in the growth of the organization.
The associate portfolio manager advises the senior financial managers as to what policies should be adopted in order to make modest profits and they also conduct meetings from time to time so that his subordinates might have a fair idea of what new progresses the company is making and the new policies they are following. Also, he assigns tasks to all the employees and see to it that the work takes place perfectly.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide Service to all commercial loan customers pertaining to any inquiries and resolve any issues analyzes data, executes response and determine conclusion of request.
- Prepare letters and memos related to account & loan issues by determining course of action execution based on bank guidelines.
- Respond to all correspondence and daily e-mails on a timely basis to ensure responses are handle to the benefit of the customer and bank under standard practices and procedures.
- Oversee Commercial Portfolio Charge Backs, Large Items, Non-Post & Positive Pay on timely manner to resolve solutions within the allowed time based on standard practices and instruction.
- Oversee appointments & reports to exchange information with loan officers routinely to manage closings and day to day activity within the allowed targets. Meetings should be set up weekly.
- Review Commercial Loan Application to determine if HMDA reportable for accurate reporting purposes.
- Review approved CAM to determine the required documentation and prepare the file for closing.
- Order Phase I Environmental & Appraisal Engagement, prepare tickets for any fees POC.
- Determine and provide all Closing Fees & Escrow Figures to be collected at closing, prepare disclosures to be signed at closing.
- Oversee Document Checklist to reflect received and pending items for closing. Coordinate with Commercial Banking Officer & customer to satisfy remaining Pre-Closing Conditions to close.
- Perform Site Inspections, obtain current insurance and property taxes.
- Monitor & collect payment on Past Due loans.
- Oversee Applications for Advance, payoff request, auto debit request, loan & account maintenance and Loan Payments
- Review required documentation for CDD.
- Review documentation to open new accounts.
- Review Account Maintenance Authorization Forms and coordinate changes.
Independence of Judgment:
Independence of judgment is according to established internal policies and guidelines.
Impact of Errors:
The impact of errors on this position could affect other departments operations and an economic impact to customers and to the Bank.
Interpersonal Communication:
Good interaction with customers and Bank’s employees.
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:

- Good mathematical and communications skills.
- Previous experience in a financial institution.
- Good understanding of financial institution branch operational functions, products and services.
- Effective human relations and communication skills.
- Ability to use office equipment, such as computer terminal, calculator, copier and fax machine, as any other related equipment.
- Able to sit for long periods of time.
- Able to talk and hear.
- Could be asked to work more than the customary hours during peak times.
Minimum Requirements:
A formal training in banking products and/or processing new accounts and, at least 3 years of experience in a similar job is required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job is required.
