Summary:

The Assistant Director of Player Development will report to the Director of Player Development and will assist in the responsibility for the successful day-to-day direction of player development; including the True Rewards Booth, Casino Hosts, Executive Casino Hosts and Executive Guest Services. Assistant Director is responsible for ensuring all guests receive the best customer service. Responsible for establishing goals for Casino Hosts and Executive Casino Hosts and monitor their performance and results. This position requires strong leadership skills, proven ability to manage and motivate others. Assistant Director’s position entails analytical, budget and financial experience. Assistant Director must possess a positive work ethic and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct training, motivation and evaluation of supervisors, Casino Hosts and Executive Casino Hosts.
  • Oversee training of Agents and Ambassadors.
  • Monitor team members for accuracy and performance, including disciplining and terminating.
  • Oversee team member’s hours, leaves and paid time off (PTO) time.
  • Maintain company standard operational procedures, including human resources and gaming compliance.
  • Anticipate and plan solutions to potential problems.
  • Explore solutions to system problems and new ways of utilizing system potential.
  • Oversee and assist loading concert venues into Showgate; prepare and analyze concert reports.
  • Promote understanding and communication between departments and properties.
  • Ensure accuracy of casino tracking.
  • Multi-task, organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Work independently, with interruptions, on multiple projects at once.
  • Read, analyze and interpret guest’s tracked play and make sound comping decisions based on company policy.
  • Effectively present information to guests and to members of management.
  • Oversee and/or perform research and respond to guest complaints, maintain positive guest survey scores and monitor weekly and monthly results.
  • Develop and monitor a yearly budget and produce monthly financial notes.
  • Develop and initiate action plans to secure new business relationships for the player database.
  • Establish performance goals and monitor the goals of the Casino Host and Executive Casino Host staff on a continual basis.
  • Offer recommendations that improve player performance and drive theoretical revenues.
  • Ability to communicate with team members effectively with written and/or verbal directives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Prefer three to five years of management experience in casino player development.
  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office products and complex computer systems is a plus (LMS, Showgate, Synkros).
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve objectives with a “team” approach.
  • Proven experience developing casino host programs that increase business revenues and EBITDA through gaming.
  • Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Moving throughout the property in a timely manner and working in temperature changes associated with working indoors or outdoors.
  • Varied shifts determined by duties and business levels.
  • Providing service to guests who may be smoking and drinking alcohol.
  • Moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Other conditions associated with a casino environment.
  • Able to see small print such as driver’s license information 100% of the shift time.
  • Able to stand and/or walk 25% of the shift time.
  • Able to sit at a desk 75% of the shift time.
  • Able to get in and out of seat numerous times per shift.
  • Able to occasionally lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs.
