Job description
Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, one of San Diego’s oldest and most prestigious law firms, seeks a Tax Attorney with 5+ years of transactional tax experience with portable business. The ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively with Partners and Associates, and be a key member of the team. For consideration, please submit your resume and salary requirements. The candidate will contribute to advising clients and have expertise in a broad range of tax matters such as federal and state partnership and LLC taxation, corporate taxation (Subchapter C and S), including taxable and tax-free mergers, business taxation (payroll taxes and sales taxes), real property transactions (including 1031 exchanges), and property taxes.
Job Responsibilities
· Will work on transactional matters related to complex tax and business planning
· Prepare related memorandums and corporate documents
· Support the practice by performing research and analysis
· Actively seek out and participate in business development opportunities
Qualifications
· Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
· 5+ years of transactional tax experience
· Experience regarding cross-border tax planning is desirable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
