Local boutique CPA firm seeking a full-time auditor, immediately. Our firm was established in 1985, which concentrates in providing audit and consulting services to banks and credit unions in Hawaii and Guam. We strive to provide our clients with professional and quality audits and consulting services. We offer continuous training and guidance for our staff to keep up with new technology, auditing techniques and regulation changes through conferences on the mainland and webinars. Auditors travel periodically throughout the year to conduct audits on the neighbor islands and Guam. Our firm provides competitive compensation, benefits, flexible work schedules and a good working environment. An ideal candidate would have the following education and qualifications:

- Accounting degree (BA/BS).

- Minimum 1-5 years previous accounting experience.

- Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.

- Must be deadline-oriented with good time management skills.

- Must be able to work closely and develop relationships with clients.

- Knowledge of compliance regulations such as the USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC is a plus.

- CPA exam candidates or has passed the exams is a plus. Hours worked will qualify for certification.

- Prior banking or credit union experience is a plus. Job duties:

- Performing BSA and OFAC compliance audits in accordance with regulations and policies.

- Performing agreed upon procedure audits in accordance with GAAS and AICPA.

- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.

- Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.

- Completes audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings.

- Appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires.

- Maintains internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires; recommending new policies and procedures.

- Communicates audit findings by preparing a final written report; discussing findings with clients.

- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
