• 40 hours per week Mon - Fri, must be available to assist evenings and weekends as needed
• Pay rate is $18 - $18.69 per hour based on years of experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications include:

• Minimum two years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Minimum one year experience working with people with Autism.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of OPWDD regulations
• High School Diploma required
• Current SCIP Certification required
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Serves as a role model in the implementation of complex behavior support plans.
• Demonstrates competency in crisis prevention strategies, ABC data collection methods, and positive reinforcement principals.
• Offers new employee training and guidance specific to behavioral interventions as requested.
• Possesses an in-depth knowledge of treatment plans, and offers feedback to the Behavior Intervention Specialist regarding enhancement modifications.
• Functions as a role model for staff by demonstrating positive and supportive interactions with the individual’s we support.
• Assumes a proactive, team oriented role during a crisis situation when implementing behavioral intervention strategies.
• Assists the Management team in managing crisis situations that may involve the police, emergency services, psychiatric hospital admissions, etc.
• Ensures proper safety protocols are followed when physical interventions are implemented.
• Flexibility with work schedule to include evening and weekend hours.
• Attends all agency and departmental training as needed to ensure regulatory and CQL standards are met.
