Automation Test Lead
Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Create and Manage test automation framework for Embedded Device Testing
- Create and Manage automation lab for products setup
- Assist Onsite - Offshore team for writing and performing manual and automated test cases
- Design, document, implement and maintain automation test cases to verify functionalities and features of Embedded product devices
- Continuously evaluate tools and technologies to improve test automation and lab infrastructure
- Work in close coordination with development teams for product/feature requirements, design and review test plan and test coverage
- Working with development and other SQA team at customer location, reproduce the issue, debug the issues, gather the required logs as per development team request
- Monitor the test coverage with respect to the defects and propose and take corrective and preventive action
- Make sure test cycle completed within timeline by coordinating different team, resolving their issues, reporting issues to development team
- Provide continuous guidance to offshore team and resolve queries. Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Leading multilocation team (India, USA)
- Effective communication and Excellent leadership skills to collaborate onsite and offshore engineering team.
- Strong coding experience with Python and PyTest
- Having experience with Embedded Device testing based on Wifi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, HDMI
- Having experience with Telnet, SSH, API Testing, RS232
- Having experience with Different router configurations, Ethernet Switch, USB Hubs, HDMI Splitter, Web Power Switch kinds of automation test setup components
- Strong analytical abilities to analyze the effectiveness of the test and build results and make the appropriate improvements.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience with JIRA, Jama, and source code management (SCM) tools (Subversion, Git, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience with managing Linux and Windows systems
- Experience with Jenkins Tool and CI/CD pipelines
- Quickly adapt new technology and complete assign tasks in defined timeline
- Ability to propose new ideas on how to improve customer satisfaction and quality of product.
- Ability to carefully examine requirements and specifications to anticipate quality issues and provide timely feedback when specifications are incomplete or inaccurate.
- Experience working with India offshore team.
