Shearer Volkswagen is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department. The successful candidate who fills this role must have exemplary customer service skills and be able to provide our customers with a top-notch experience. Overview:

The Service Advisor provides top-notch customer service, while consulting with customers on vehicle repair needs, as well as selling and scheduling work within the service department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Obtain vehicle information.
  • Detail customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
  • Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Provides complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Establishes promised time, checking with foreman or dispatcher.
  • Establishes customer's method of payment, obtains credit approval, if necessary.
  • Monitors progress of repair throughout the day.
  • Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Requirements:

  • Maintain positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Be detail oriented and able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to use PCs, printers, and related equipment
  • Knowledgeable of automotive repair and parts
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with CDK preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
