Avionics HWIL Systems Engineer

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking an Avionics HWIL Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulations for avionics systems used in aerospace applications. You will work closely with a team of engineers to ensure that avionics systems meet required specifications and standards.

As an avionics HWIL systems engineer, you will have a deep understanding of avionics systems, HWIL testing methodologies, and software development. You will use your expertise to design and develop HWIL simulations that accurately simulate the avionics system's behavior in a flight environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and develop HWIL simulations for avionics systems used in aerospace applications.
• Work closely with a team of engineers to ensure that avionics systems meet required specifications and standards.
• Develop test procedures and test cases for avionics systems based on customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain avionics HWIL test systems, including hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and debug avionics HWIL test systems.
• Analyze test results and report findings to the software and hardware teams.
• Participate in the development of new avionics system requirements.
• Keep up to date with the latest avionics technologies and trends.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• US Citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in avionics HWIL testing.
• Experience with avionics HWIL testing methodologies.
• Experience with avionics test equipment, such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Strong understanding of avionics systems and software development.
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as C and Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
