Your role

Are you skilled in leading and operating in an environment at the center of a large multiyear Agile banking modernization program? Are you able to work hand in hand with teams across the SDLC to drive a product from concept to reality and get it over the finish line? Do you have the proven ability to coordinate across technology and control functions to ensure timely delivery of materials. Do you have a track record of finding solutions to complex problems? Are you well organized and able to manage multiple deliveries?

As a Product Release Manager, you will work across the organization to ensure efficient release of the software from product planning and readiness through testing and deployment stages. You will have to maintain clear coordination between these teams.

Overall, you will be concerned with planning, tracking, release, deployment, communication, and risk management.
  • plan the release of project deliverables and release life cycle.
  • coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
  • identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected.
  • track the progress and find issues, if any. Always work to improve the process of release.
  • make sure that the release is planned, according to the requirements and budget.
  • schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
  • create plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Overdrive Transformation Office. You will be part of a team comprised of internal and vendor resources within the Global Wealth Management – Bank USA function driving the program management of a key banking modernization project.

Your expertise

  • 10+ years large/complex program software delivery/program management covering all aspect of SDLC but with a key focus on release management
  • strong Agile project management of large implementation of platforms, ideally with a US financial services remit
  • 10+ years’ experience in managing complex software programs and services as a program manager, Solution train engineer (STE) or similar technical role in a software development environment
  • outstanding collaboration skills, prior experience working in a matrix and geographically distributed organization
  • history of working hand in hand with testing teams to ensure seamless go lives
  • highly organized and execution focused, accountable and driven
  • proven track record of delivery high quality products on-time
  • leadership track record overseeing both direct reports and influence across a matrix organization
  • technical knowledge with a desired emphasis on current industry trends including cloud-based development and Agile development techniques
