Job description
Bethel Christian School is seeking a drama teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a passion for drama and the performing arts, and be committed to educating and inspiring 5th-8th-grade students.
Responsibilities
- Pastoring a classroom of students and leading them in their connection with God and others through performing arts.
- Teach drama classes to students in grade levels 5th-8th.
- Plan and direct 5-6 play, 7-8 play and weekly electives,
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student creativity and growth.
- Provide opportunities for students to perform and showcase their talents to the school and wider community.
- Work collaboratively with other faculty and staff to support the school's mission and goals.
- Attend school events and meetings as required
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments.
- Pay Range : $18.00 - $20.00/hour
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or experience in drama or a related field.
- Experience teaching drama at the K-8 level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for drama and the performing arts.
- Ability to work effectively with students of all backgrounds and abilities.
- Commitment to the school's mission and values.
