The Beach Club Concierge is responsible for greeting all guests and members when checking in to the Beach Club. The focus for this role is to create a welcoming environment and positively enhance the member and guest experience throughout the Gasparilla Inn & Club. The Beach Club Concierge must be a relationship builder, an excellent communicator, and welcome engagement with a wide array of people.
Job Duties:
- Adhere to the Gasparilla Inn and Club's 10 Steps to Memorable Service.
- Exhibit's the Gasparilla Inn's Core Values.
- Accurately and effectively communicate a thorough knowledge of property, space, capacities and amenities of The Gasparilla Inn and Club.
- Develop a welcoming presence as the "face" of The Beach Club by building strong partner relationships with new and returning guests and members.
- Ensure everyone entering the Beach Club is a guest of the hotel, member of the club, or joining a member of the club.
- Arrive for scheduled shift promptly and report to the Manager.
- Report to work meeting the dress code and appearance standards set by the Inn, such as name tag, belt, appropriate footwear, etc.
- Create daily reports to department supervisor and report any issues of concern.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of department programs, events, and activities. Answers guest questions regarding such programs.
- Maintains understanding of operating procedures for pool and beach equipment.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required:
- Must have dynamic interpersonal skills and maintain effective working relationships with team members
- Must possess a hospitality mindset with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
- Must believe that service is a noble profession and have the willingness to always do the right thing
- Must possess strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess a pleasant and professional demeanor, have well developed problem-solving skills, and have the ability to multi-task under pressure
- Ability to work a varied schedule
Preferred:
- Prior experience within the hospitality field or customer service role
- Hospitality Certifications or Courses

Working Conditions/Assignments:
This position is both an administrative and hands on position and will require equipment to be moved weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. This position may be exposed to hazards such as adverse weather conditions, loud noise, frequent and extra working hours due to demands of events, and other related factors such as upset guests if something does not go as originally planned. You must be comfortable with water safety and be able to respond to water safety events, which could potentially become high stress situations. This position is also required to work events during weekend hours, and nights as determined by event needs.
