New Challenges Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Behavior Aide Program Coordinator. NCI provides services for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness & traumatic brain injuries in corporate foster care in the south metro area. NCI is seeking a Behavior Aide PC to provide services at a one-person location in Apple Valley. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday 3p-10p.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Behavior management and strategies
- Assistance with independent living skills
- Transportation
- Medication administration
- Report writing
- Staff training
- Activities
Qualifications needed include; 1 year of management experience, 2 years of experience in the field and an Associate's degree in the human services field or 4 years of experience in the human services field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to problem solve and multi-task are also required.
Experience working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors as well as co-occurring mental disorders or neurocognitive disorders are preferred.
All applicants must have a valid driver's license, have a high school diploma, a vehicle to use while on duty, pass standards for driving history and meet criteria for a DHS background study. Experience as a nursing assistant (CNA), personal care attendant (PCA) or home health aide (HHA) are encouraged to submit resumes.
