EXPERIENCED!! Bilingual Medical Assistant Call Center Representative
AVV Health Centers is seeking a dynamic, energetic, self-starter medical assistant.
This position will be a MA Representative at our Call Center in Muskgoee.
The successful candidate will provide support services including assisting providers and medical staff with patient care follow up. Helping with lab results, medication refills, appointment follow up questions from patients, etc.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Performs routine intake procedures by obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, and patient symptoms/complaints.
- Assists providers during clinical exams, office procedures, and other patient care.
- Administers injections, immunizations, and lab draws/procedures.
- Prepares and instructs patients about medication and/or post treatment care.
- Assumes role of advocate to ensure health needs are met including responding to patient phone messages and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Documents all provider orders, nursing actions, and interventions on patient record consistent with health center guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or 3+ years of experience working in a medical clinic in lieu of certification is required
- Two to three years of experience in a medical setting is preferred
- Firm understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and coding procedures
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
