J & M Retrievers is a large all-breed dog boarding and daycare facility. We also have several training programs. J & M Retrievers is also a breeder of high quality Yellow Labrador Retrievers. We are located 3 miles straight south of Buhl, MN and we operate from 7 am to 9 pm and have morning and afternoon/evening shifts available.

We are a facility where professionalism and dedication to the animals are #1. Every dog that stays with us is treated and cared for as if they were our own. We have an opportunity for someone who shares this passion to join our team!

We are looking for a full time kennel attendant to assist in the daily maintenance and care of the guests and facility. A kennel attendant works indoors and outdoors caring for the dogs whether it be supervising and exercising the playgroups or doing yard maintenance and cleaning.

Qualifications:

- Experience with dogs preferred
- Must love dogs
- Customer service experience preferred
​- Knowledge of animal health a plus
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
- May have to lift as much as 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation required
- Must be able to work independently as well as with a team
- Must be responsible and reliable

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Handling/controlling small to medium sized groups of dogs
- Feeding and administering medication to dogs
- Cleaning – indoors and outdoors
- Grounds maintenance
- Lifting – weights up to 50 lbs

- Customer service
Position Details:

- Full time
- Rotating weekends
- We are willing to train the right candidate
- Must have availability to work scheduled shifts typically from 7 am - 12noon and 3:30 pm - 9 pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
