The Vice President of Performance Marketing is responsible for leading the performance marketing team across display, search, paid social and email marketing activations, in service of a portfolio of brands. This role will work closely with other VPs and departmental leaders to develop and implement departmental initiatives and operational standards in service of Brunswick’s 4 business units. This position will provide thought leadership on campaign strategies, audience segmentation, data-driven media plans, and apply industry-leading technologies to deliver optimal program performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role will be responsible for agency leadership, including standardizing media services and capabilities, facilitating the media strategy and planning processes, executing brand campaigns with operational excellence, and collaborating with other strategic functions to improve the effectiveness of multichannel media programs.
- This position will serve as function leadership, including interfacing with select senior commercial executives to provide thought leadership on media strategies, tactics, and performance, in partnership with division marketing leadership.
- This role will be responsible for supporting brand and business revenue goals, including acquisition targets and share gains, as well as balancing the short and long term growth agendas of the businesses to guide them to the optimal mix.
- This role will be responsible for team leadership and development, including motivating, leading, and managing internal teams, developing a management team that focuses on peer and employee development, conducting performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports, and encouraging attendance in training programs to build and develop new skills and capabilities.
- This role will enforce the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the Group, set standards on new optimization tools/techniques, and ensure the highest standards are met and that Performics execution remains best in class.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus
- 12+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying, leadership and management across multiple brands
- 8-10 years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people
- Performance-focused marketer
- Deep expertise within Display, SEM and Paid Social
- Experience with SEO, Affiliates, and Influencers is a plus
- Extensive work testing & optimizing strategy, using data to inform strategy
- Experience in setting up functional ways of working processes, best practices and center of excellence models
- Knowledge of Web Analytics report suites such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
- Must have strong analytical, problem solving, marketing, teamwork, and communication skills, as well as be detail oriented and extremely organized
- Forward-thinking, resourceful and curious, with the ability to work across different departments
- Must have ability to take analysis (e.g. reporting, insights and analytics) and drive real world solutions
- Proven experience in delivering clear, strategic presentations to C-level marketing executives
- Deep understanding of cross channel performance marketing including search, social, programmatic and display
