The Lincoln Public Schools is looking for an individual to be Permanent Building-Based Substitute for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. You will be assigned to work at the Hanscom campus. The position is daily, from 7:50-3:00, which allows the position to support dismissal starting at 2:55. You will report to the main office each day and be assigned to cover for a teacher or paraprofessional when they are absent. As much as is possible, you will know ahead of time which schedule and teacher you will be covering.

Duties:

• Assigned to rotate into various teaching positions in the school on a daily basis and possibly throughout the day
• Implement teacher lesson plans and administrator directives with fidelity and efficiency
• Communicate with classroom teachers or school administrators regarding expectations for student work, behavior, and lesson execution
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students and staff.
• Ensure the teacher’s absence does not cause an interruption in classroom instruction
• Gain familiarity with district curriculum and resources
• Perform supervisory duties as assigned (such as lunch, bus, or recess duty)
• Abide by state statutes, school committee policies and regulations
• Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by principal or designee
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel information
• Be a positive role model for students, support the mission of the District
• Ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed
