Job description

As a Paratransit Bus Operator, you will be filling the critically important role of ensuring all Greensboro’s citizens can have reliable access to employment, life sustaining, recreational, leisure opportunities in our community. The right candidate will feel a strong commitment to serving those amongst us with special needs, such as the elderly or citizens with disabilities.

Responsibilities

· Safely transport passengers from various locations in a timely, efficient, and responsive manner

· Properly secure all mobility devices including but not limited to wheelchairs, walkers, and rollators

· Always extend superior customer service

· Provide door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation for passengers.

· Greet passengers, accept fare payment, and maintain a safe environment.

· Properly report all incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns

· Other duties as required.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
• A valid commercial driver’s license in good standing with the ability to obtain For-Hires endorsement
• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
• Punctual with an emphasis on attendance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,300.00 - $52,000.00 per year
