Molex is growing in the Optical Connectivity Business Unit and we are looking for a growth minded person to join our team as a Business Development Manager. As a leading supplier of advanced fiber optic components & solutions, Molex has an extensive product offering that includes a full range of optical solutions from connectors, adapters and cables to backplanes and high-density interconnects. Molex's experience and resources provide customers a wide range of design, manufacturing and value-added services.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for Optical Connectivity Outside Plant Portfolio and FTTX products. In order to be successful, it will be critical for the BDM to understand markets, channels and economics to successfully identify and pursue new business opportunities. This person must be versatile and willing to fulfill a variety of business building activities to form proactive engagement with end customers and the Molex Sales teams to drive opportunities to profitable revenue.
This position will be remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Create and execute a business development strategy to acquire new business opportunities and identify new customers
- Driving business growth plans and analyze market trends to commercialize new product portfolio
- Build effective relationship with internal business partners, suppliers, distributors and potential clients
- Collaborating with Product Managers to identify growth opportunities for existing as well as new products and target customers
- Engaged with Molex Distribution Accounts to identify existing and new customers
- Negotiating deals and securing business that results in mutual benefit for customers and Molex
- Leveraging business development activities that will include: trade shows, conferences, and other technical events to actively engage and network to advance Molex's engagement at our customers and in our marketplace

Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Optical Connectivity Outside Plant Portfolio and FTTX products
- Experience with pricing and negotiation
- Strong knowledge of partners, vendors, competition and potential clients
- Proven experience in business development role resulting in successful business growth
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline
- Understanding of the strategic North America customers and competitors for the Outside Plant Optical Interconnect products
- Experience working with Tier 1, 2 & 3 Customers.

For this role, we anticipate paying $ 100,000 - $ 150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
