Job Description Summary
"Position Objective:
The Business Intelligence / Visualization Analyst will create & support innovative information delivery solutions leveraging data visualization tools, standard reporting tools, and the underlying data platform, which includes interactive reports and dashboards as well as integration with other software systems within the enterprise. The role will be responsible for supporting the performance, stability, usability design and operations for Reporting and Analytics Infrastructure. This includes evaluating innovative technologies, hands-on technical support, standards, and process improvement. This role will support and augment the current team and will play a key hands-on position.
A successful candidate will work with key business and Technology partners, foster adoption of analytics, be resourceful in problem solving, apply strong critical thinking, and be a storyteller of data. Additionally, you will be looked upon to proactively seize opportunities where data and analytics can drive profit and improve the customer experience."
- Design and build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Salesforce Sales Analytics( Tableau CRM) and other specified tools
- Collaboratively work with Data Visualization and Engineering teams to provide business partners with timely and effective solutions
- Work with stakeholders to build self-service solutions, at both the product and customer levels, that bring greater visibility into business performance
- Perform day to day administration to ensure performance, stability, and capacity for the operational Reporting and Analytics Infrastructure
- Assist with defining, procuring and implementing Reporting and Analytics Infrastructure, support and services consistent with Sunbelt Rentals’ standards & guidelines
- Creates and maintains technical documentation and drive process improvement with standard operating procedures
- Performs additional assignments as required by the needs of the Company, or as otherwise directed
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- BS/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field or equivalent work experience plus 3+ years of experience with relational databases, BI reporting, and data visualization
- Experience in data analysis and conveying meaning through data
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Power BI, COGNOS Planning Analytics, Google Analytics, Saleforce Sales Analytics
- Experience in marketing analytics related to campaigns, Google Analytics, and sales knowledge
- Must have exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal form
- Team player and with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and follow-through a must
- Dedicated and hard working
- Strong customer service orientation
- Familiarity with construction industry specific technologies, systems, and concepts preferred
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.
