In this job, you’ll providing quantitative analysis and support to senior management of departments within the Legal Organization (Law, Workers’ Compensation and Disability Management, Claims, and Corporate Governance) to help them manage and analyze outside counsel costs and related invoices and support regulatory filings and internal initiatives. Prepare and analyze reports to improve matter-tracking visibility for Legal executives; and develop, implement, and quantify cost-saving strategies of in-flight and future cost-saving pilots and programs.

Support Legal executives for the evaluation and implementation of strategy-based metrics for the utilization of outside counsel and in-house resources.

Assist in the development and execution of complex projects including the General Rate Case, FERC Formula Rate Case and Compliance Reporting.

Assist in the development and execution of deep dive analysis and data modeling.

Utilize data mining tools to extract and compile data for deep dive analysis and trending (TeamConnect Legal, SharePoint, SAP, Excel, Access, Power BI, SAS)

Identify and communicate insights, model processes and functions, limitations, and risk assessments.
The essentials
-
Seven or more years of experience in financial or strategic planning and analysis

Experience in project management and ability to lead and guide cross-functional teams.

Experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to a broad range of audiences and levels across the organization.

Experience in data analytics, building reports, tracking, analyzing and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of large amounts of data using data mining tools such as Excel, Access, SAS and Power BI.

You should know
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

- The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at (alternate work location).
- This position is 40hrs/5 days a week.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
- This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
