BYU Catering - Back of House

(Spring/Summer)

BYU Catering serves meals created by chefs, all over campus, to guests ranging from FSY (For the Strength of Youth) participants to General Authorities, elite athletes and the special guests and donors that visit Campus. There is always something fun and new at Catering. You could even work with and learn from the award winning Chefs!

Wage:

  • $14/hr= $12/hr + $2 of Dining Credit, which can be used to buy food almost anywhere on campus that serves it, such as the Creameries, Cougareat, MOA Cafe, Cannon Center, etc. *https://dining.byu.edu/employment/meal-credits

Positions vary, choose from:

  • Catering Kitchen Stewards
  • Catering Cooks in Veg Prep or Hot Kitchen

Essential Functions

  • Attend to meal prep for buffets and plated meals
  • Work with and under Certified Chefs
  • Clean and wash items used

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 20-25 lbs.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 4-5 hours at a time
  • Available for employment ASAP, during the semester and in between semesters

Work at all home football games serving VIP guests.

Must have regular and consistent attendance at scheduled shift.

  • Only one application is necessary for Dining Services Specialist position(s). Hire location is based on applicant preferences, schedule and area availability.
