Job description
As a Calibration Technician, you will facilitate the daily operation of and provide technical guidance for the calibration program. You will report to the Quality Manager and work onsite at our Grand Prairie, TX location!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a calibration system that meets industry Quality Standards while overseeing the everyday activity of Calibration Technicians in the lab.
- Write standard operating procedures and training for calibration program users while training staff to perform calibrations and to use calibrated instrumentation.
- Work with internal and external customers to answer questions and calibration related information.
- Lead the storage, maintenance, and asset care of the calibration equipment/standards; lead calibration (transactions, conducting, and closing) activities; report deviations and escalate to management; support deviation and non-conformance investigations.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Science or related technical field with 2+ years of technical understanding and experience performing calibration activities.
- Understand basic principles of Metrology and familiar with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) along with ISO9001 and ISO/IEC17025 Quality Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook).
