Hegira Health, Inc. (HHI) has long been a leader in behavioral healthcare. HHI is one of Michigan’s largest freestanding behavioral healthcare organizations, providing a variety of mental health and substance abuse treatment services to individuals of all ages.

The Communication Specialist/Call Center Representative works is part of the team at Community Outreach for Psychiatric Emergencies. The department is a 24/7 operation working 365 days a year.

Midnight shift with rotating weekends

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Call Center experience
• Health care experience - one year with EHR experience desired
• Computer proficiency in Windows
• Excellent communication skills/professional phone demeanor

Responsibilities:

• Using our cloud-based vehicle tracking system, monitor staff location and dispatch new service requests based on location, assignment and timeframe requirements
• Answer incoming telephone calls
• Complete service eligibility criteria
• Enter requests for service, demographics, etc. in Electronic Health Record System
• Assist with patient placement: coordination of private health information conveyance, communication of bed availability, documentation of payment authorization
• Functions as a liaison between community hospital emergency departments and inpatient facilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
