OVERVIEW

Minerva Canna is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and experienced part-time (with opportunity to grow into full-time position) Canna Cooking School Coordinator in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Canna Cooking School Coordinator will be responsible for running and further developing the Cooking School to create fun, educational and inspiring classes. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer. The Canna Cooking School Coordinator will play a key role as the external face in the community as well. From developing and teaching the cooking classes, to helping generate interest and getting the word out about the school.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Cooking Class Coordinator’s responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to:

Program Design & Coordination:

  • Work with Edibles Department Manager and Lead Baker at Minerva Canna, nutrition educators, and other Chef’s in the community to design a cooking school curriculum.
  • Work with the Chief Marketing Officer to create a cooking class schedule for promoting to the community, sharing agendas, class titles, and any other logistics we might want/need to communicate with the public.
  • Assist the Marketing Department and Graphic Designer with the development of Canna Cooking School materials and handouts for class participants as needed.
  • Complete all preparations for class including, but not limited to, assembling and transporting equipment, materials, groceries, and supplies.
  • After classes are over, conduct a thorough clean up and re-set up and prepare the space for the next cooking class.

Administration/Miscellaneous:

  • Work with Chief Marketing officer to set up personal goals and follow the work plan created for the position.
  • Ensure all handouts and printouts are printed out and ready a few days before the actual class.
  • Complete additional reporting and communications contributions as required, which may include blog posts, newsletters, photographs, and participant story gathering.
  • Submit time sheets.
  • Participate in training with our Lead Baker as needed or requested.
  • Maintain a high level of working knowledge related to Cannabis, the Cannabinoid and Endocannabinoid systems, baking with Cannabis, and dosing.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of Cooking/Baking experience
  • An Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with managing and coordinating classes and programs for the community.
  • Adept at using computers, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
  • Skilled at teaching, facilitating, assisting others in a class like environment.
  • Skilled at customer service and providing an exceptional service-based experience for customers.
  • Effective at networking to help promote the program in the community
