Caregiver's Job Functions:

Caregivers work with our Assisted Living Residents that live in their own apartment here on campus. Caregivers work under a Director of Care nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse that is available at any time. Caregivers also work together with Med Techs during their shift.

Caregivers perform personal services for residents that can include a simple task like operating a television to tasks that have become more difficult for our residents to perform on their own like changing the bed linens or remembering to take their medications.

Caregivers assist to promote comfort, security, and rehabilitation to our Assisted Living Residents.

• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to have compassion and the ability to handle stress
• Knowledge of basic computer functions
• Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situation and diverse resident population
• Ability to work individually and as a team
• Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Employment Requirements

• Vaccinated for COVID-19 (must have first dose prior to starting)
• AZ Caregiver Certificate required (ALTP # must be included so it can be verified)
• Valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (we will help you to obtain)
• Current TB test (available on-site)
• Current Hands-on CPR /First Aide Certification for Healthcare Professionals

Shifts Available

This position is a Non-Exempt FLSA status position working Full-Time in our Assisted Living Community. We are in need to fill our 2nd shift, 2 pm - 10 pm first but other shifts are available.
