Job description
Under the supervision of the Culinary Services Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor, operates a cash register, communicates with customer and assists other culinary services staff as needed.
Responsibilities:- Operates Cash register.
Responsibilities in this position includes processing credit card payments, accepting cash payments and making change, and using a point of sale (POS) system for transactions.
Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
Cashier duties also involve greeting guests, helping resolve customer complaints, and maintaining knowledge of the menu and sales policies.
Clean and arrange eating, service and kitchen space as needed.
Wipes down and sanitizes tray line area and refrigerator around cashier area.
Restocks water, soft drinks, snacks, condiments, cups, utensils as needed throughout each shift.
Performs other duties as requested by supervisor and/or administration.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.- Ability to follow verbal and written directions, perform assigned related tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to complete basic math skills; such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
