An HDOS Catering Food Truck Employee is responsible upholding all HDOS expectations as outlined in the HDOS Operations/Catering Manual. Each employee is expected to have dedicated customer service, communicated clearly and positively with all team members and clients, and follow all health regulations while working. Team members must exemplify the company culture of “Fast, Fresh and Friendly” as well as upholding the reputation of fast attentive service, fresh products and STICKing a SMILE on your face!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set Up. Each employee is responsible for preparing their station(s) before the start of each shift. The line cook must make sure that all the supplies that will be needed are available and ready for use. This includes preparing some items in the commercial/warehouse kitchen before they are stored in the food truck. Or performing simple tasks such as stocking the truck with dry and wet stock.
  • Prepping Food. Each employee will be asked to prep food for service each day. This means sticking and cutting items, making and preparing lemonade, mixing and dipping in batter.
  • Cooking. During a shift, each employee is responsible for preparing the items requested from their station. This requires working with other employees in the truck to make sure that food is ready at the right time. Also, in the right order so that it arrives at the service window ready to eat and at the right temperature. An employee will often be directed by the HDOS Catering Food Truck manager as they prepare the food.
  • Clean Up. At the end of a shift, each team member is responsible for cleaning their station. They may also be asked to help others clean up the entire food truck. This means disposing of garbage, cleaning utensils, dishes, and cleaning cooking surfaces. The team will also be responsible for taking care of left-over food, whether that means disposing of it, returning unused items to the correct inventory location, or storing cooked goods for use at another service.
  • Stocking. In cases where a food truck has access to storage, employees are also called on to unload and store inventory correctly. This can mean stocking pantries or walk in refrigerators, or simply inventorying items and reporting to the HDOS Catering Food Truck Manager.
  • Cash Handling. Various events require employees to take on the cashier position. When in this position the employee is expected to have clear communication with the client when taking the order, excel in upselling and suggestive selling, as well as supreme customer service. They are also responsible for all checks and balances that occur during the shift.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years old and older
  • 1 Year Food Truck Driver Experience
  • 3 Years Customer Service Experience
  • Valid CA Driver's License/Driving record in good standing

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 per hour
