CDS Associate – Othello School District - 7.0 hours/day
Job Description:
- Work with the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to plan and deliver speech therapy to students.
- Assist students with the development of communication skills
- Assist SLP in providing small group and individual therapy.
- Operate various pieces of related equipment.
- Prepare materials for daily session work, as developed by SLP.
- Assist SLP in monitoring individual student objectives.
- Assist SLP in screening as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Special education and building administrator.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- AA degree or higher, or 48 semester credits or 72 quarter credits from and institution of higher education (100 level class or higher), or having successfully pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
- Dependable, trustworthy, experience working with children and adults, good time manager, initiative.
- Physically able to occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, crawl, and grasp as required to successfully perform all duties and requirements.
- Ability to focus (adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), clear vision at twenty (20) inches or less, and clear vision at twenty (20) feet or more.
- In accordance with Governor Proclamation 21.14-1 (Vaccination Requirement)

Hours: 7.0 hours/day
Salary: Per PSE CBA Schedule A
Contracted Days: 179 work days & 7 holidays (186 total contracted days)
