JOB TITLE: Certification Engineer - Avionics

ABOUT THE JOB:
This position is responsible for developing and reviewing DO-178C commercial avionics certification documents including the following:
- Plan for Software Aspects of Certification (PSAC)
- Software Quality Assurance Plan (SQAP)
- Software Configuration Management Plan (SCMP)
- Software Development Plan (SDP)
- Software Verification Plan (SVP)
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 10+ years experience in the DO-178B/C certification process
- 3+ years experience creating DO-178 planning documents
- Understanding of differences between DO-178B and DO-178C
- Ability to work with evolving requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimum oversight
- High level of attention to detail
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Previous experience with Airbus software programs
- Familiarity with DO-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity consideration including DO-326A (Airworthiness Security Process Specification)
- Ability to perform in a customer facing role
