Job Description Summary
Within the clinical setting, the Certified Medical Assistant provides patient care, in accordance with the mission, strategic goals, federal and state laws and regulations, performance and outcome objectives, and accreditation standards. Performs basic CMA functions and systematically collects relevant health data on clients following program protocols.
Completion of an accredited medical assistant certification program and high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in clinic setting preferred. Must meet grant credentialing requirements.
Must possess sound clinical judgment skills, good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively or alone. Must have comprehensive knowledge of computer use including networked database and office applications with skills and ability to telework as necessary. Must participate in annual training on blood- borne pathogens compliance standards. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
