Job description

Certified Medical Assistant needed for Per Diem coverage for busy family practice clinic at a local school district in West Valley City, UT.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Possible shifts needed:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm or 1:00pm - 7:00pm
• Saturday: 8:00am - 1:00pm

Job Details:

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts
• Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination
• Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
• Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant with prior occupational health or emergency/acute care experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills required
• Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred
