Job description

Join our team in developing an innovative solution for the world’s energy storage needs. Pumped storage hydro currently provides 93% of grid level energy storage in the US and is poised for significant growth with the passage of the recent Inflation Reduction Act legislation that recognizes the need for large storage projects to integrate all forms of renewable generation into the grid. This team is looking for engineering leaders to develop a new pump-turbine and associated equipment to create a new generation of pumped storage facilities that can be sited in a wider variety of geologic conditions at significantly lower costs. The team will be developing reduced scale models as well as full scale pumped storage systems. This innovative technology has attracted domestic and international interest and will be fully developed and demonstrated at scale so it can be available for global deployment. Obermeyer Hydro is actively hiring a development team of engineers, designers, technicians, and project management. Come join us in creating the next generation of pumped storage projects and in planning our new research and manufacturing facility.
