Responsibilities

SUMMARY
- The Priest is responsible for the delivery of pastoral care to patients their loved ones and staff. Responsibilities will include to ensure that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met in areas assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM
MA in Theology, Pastoral Care/Counseling or Divinity
One year of chaplaincy experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
Clinical Pastoral Education: 4 units of CPE (1600 hours) in an accredited ACPE hospital center
Professional Competencies: Theology of Pastoral Care (302.1 - 302.5); Identify and Conduct (303.1 - 303.9); Pastoral Care (304.1 - 304.9); Professionalism (305.1 - 305.6)
NACC Board Certification within two years. Applicant that is eligible for certification must demonstrate their progress toward certification. Provisions to extend the two year timeframe may be granted on occasion for emergencies. Good standing requires maintenance of continuing education and peer review requirements for renewal of certification while observing a professional code of ethics required by Your Professional Organizational Standards

PREFERRED
Three years of chaplaincy experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
4 units of CPR and Board Certified

Pay Range

$22.95 - $33.28 /hour
