Responsibilities:
Responsible for posting all insurance and patient payments, updating the patient information and handling all third party billing appropriately. Responsible for processing the practice's professional charges daily. Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with Practice policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
1. High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). 2. Minimum of 2 two years accounting clerk experience, including one year experience in health care organization. 3. Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Managed care, and Indemnity plans. 4. Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding and Medical terminology. 5. Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks. 6. Able to communicate with insurance representatives and patients in a professional manner. 7. Basic typing Skills 8. Ability to manage time of self and others 9. Ability to read and understand a medical records chart
PREFERRED:
1. Displays an outgoing, warm and helpful attitude. 2. Possesses the tact to deal effectively with patients, guests, co- workers and physicians.
Work Hours:: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
