Chef Manager

We are currently seeking a Chef Manager to join our team at Menorah Park at the Montefiore building. The Chef Manager is responsible for organizing, implementing, monitoring and documenting the high quality dietary program for long term care and
sub-acute residents at Montefiore. The Chef Manager supervises staff and prepares meals in accordance with Menorah Park standards for quality and current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Qualifications : : :
- Must be able to provide leadership for department and subordinate staff.
- Ability to lead, train, and supervise staff.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Must be able communicate clearly including good written communication skills.
- Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities and be familiar with seasonings required and time involved.
- Must have knowledge of cooking characteristics of various cuts of meat and must know names and contents of various types of dishes.
- Must be able to make accurate estimates relative to quantities of food required.
