University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), Midtown Campus is conducting a national search for a distinguished operational and administrative leader to serve as their next Chief Administrative Officer.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, University of Maryland Medical Center, the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) of UMMC Midtown Campus, in conjunction with senior executive team colleagues will provide executive leadership of the UMMC Midtown Campus to assure achievement of goals including, but not limited to, continuously improving patient safety, quality, patient and family engagement, advancing clinical program development across the two UMMC campuses’ outpatient and inpatient care settings, maintaining strong operational and financial management, emphasizing human resources management (including employee engagement), supporting active community engagement and leading a new philanthropic campaign to support the campus’s priorities.
As the leader of the UMMC Midtown Campus executive leadership team, the CAO will build a strong sense of accountability and rigor to all clinical, operational, training, and financial matters. The CAO, University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus will ensure the optimization of clinical and business operations while simultaneously driving a patient-centered service culture provided through team-based care that strengthens UMMS as a nationally recognized leader for outstanding quality and patient safety.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years previous executive management experience in hospital administration or a specialty field, as well as an advanced degree in hospital administration, health care administration or a related health care field. Preference given to candidates who have leadership / management experience across both inpatient and outpatient settings, and those who have experience in an academic medical center setting.
