: The Chief of Staff, School Development plans and directs all operational activities for the School Development team and reports to the Business Development Executive. As a key member of the leadership team this role will engage in relationships to create new school opportunities.

  • Sounding board and proxy to and for School Development leader, while taking on day-to-day tasks that enable executive to focus on larger strategic organizational initiatives
  • Designs and implements key business operations
  • Lead projects and initiatives, managing business case, scope, schedule, risks, issues, decisions, interdependencies, and interim milestones
  • Lead the improvement of current processes and optimization of procedures for efficiency and productivity
  • Drive the effort to pursue competitor contracts for increased School Development opportunities
  • Drive organization-wide communications strategy and identify opportunities to increase leadership team effectiveness
  • Identify and develop new school and program opportunities, particularly among district public schools and charter schools nationwide
  • Ensure cross-functional stakeholders are apprised of existing opportunities and their status through regular school development pipeline calls

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thirteen (13) years of experience in a leadership or management role or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with people at all levels and with multi-office/region teams
  • Ability to work independently and juggle priorities to thrive in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, while also collaborating as part of a team in complex situations
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check

  • This is a home-based position

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.


  • We anticipate the salary range to be $118,000 to $189,000. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
