Hennepin Healthcare is an integrated system of care that includes HCMC, a nationally recognized Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and acute care hospital. Hennepin Healthcare has a current opening for a casual Chiropractor. This position will cover leaves, vacation and other vacancies at the Clinic & Specialty Center, Golden Valley, Brooklyn Park, Whittier, North Loop or St. Anthony clinic. Under the guidance of the medical director and in accordance with the scope of practice, the chiropractor will evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with health conditions primarily related to musculoskeletal conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct chiropractic care services to adult and pediatric patients as part of the interdisciplinary team in the Division of Integrative Health
  • Perform initial and on-going assessment of patients’ chiropractic, physical and psychosocial status
  • Obtain and evaluate health and medical history; perform a physical examination, recommend treatment, referrals or radiology studies
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of observations, interventions, plan of care, referrals and follow-up
  • Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis based on history and physical examination
  • Order, conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, therapeutic treatments or questions related to chiropractic care
  • Make appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agencies
  • Reassess and modify the plan of care as necessary to achieve health goals
  • Contribute as needed to on-going medical and nursing staff teaching programs
  • Support new and existing programs which expand the organizations’ role in the community
  • Develop a patient education plan relevant to the patients’ condition and family needs
  • Participate in performance improvement activities
  • Adhere to productivity standards established by the organization
  • Perform other related duties but only after appropriate training

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited chiropractic college, university with experience in providing care to adult and pediatric population
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Active license from the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners
  • Obtain credentials through HCMC’s Office of the Medical Director

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has a relationship with or preferably a network provider for Preferred One, Medica, Optum Health, BC/BS, Fulcrum
  • Active care emphasis in the chiropractic treatment
