POSITION SUMMARY
North Risk’s Claims #oneTEAM is currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Support Specialist The Claims Support Specialist will assist the department in numerous tasks. The Claims Support Specialist will work with guidance and support from Associate Claims Administrators, Claims Administrators and Senior Claims Administrators. This position will work towards becoming an Associate Claims Administrator.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Claims Manager and Department with needs in accordance with agency workflow and procedures.
o Entering claim acknowledgements, payments or closures into the system. Monitoring multiple systems.
o Assist in going on carrier sites to collect claim acknowledgements and loss runs.
o Assist in claim recap reports for Risk Advisors with guidance from team members.
o Responsible for claim downloads and E doc’s.
o Run Weekly claim report.
o Assist team with prepping for value added services.
o Assist Manager with meeting agendas and other needs.
- Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate product.
- Proactively respond to daily requests in a quick and accurate manner.
- Enter activity and other relevant information into the company’s software system(s) in accordance with company procedures, Federal and State regulations to avoid errors and omissions.
- Maintain internal and external relationships with professionalism.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.
- Assist Claims Administrators and Senior Claims Administrators on accounts when necessary.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, and Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other systems.
- Previous commercial insurance experience preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently
- Hear, speak, and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions in order to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization
- Sit and a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer
- Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day
- Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability, for computer keyboarding, office equipment uses, review of detailed reports, information, fine print, and warning labels
- Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings
- Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends to attend events and meetings as needed
